Rodeo Rebel Mercantile Store PoliciesWelcome to Rodeo Rebel Mercantile. Because we offer a unique mix of custom-crafted tack, personalized digital graphics, and fragile vintage antiques, we use specific policies to protect both our small business and your investments. By purchasing from our shop, you agree to the following terms.

1. Custom Orders & Design Services

  • Strict Non-Refundable Deposit: ANY and ALL custom orders for mohair tack, mule tape halters, and graphic design require a strictly non-refundable deposit before work begins.
  • Design Approval: For digital graphics, final approval is required from the client before high-resolution files are delivered. Once approved, further changes may incur an additional design fee.
  • 30-Day Pickup & Forfeiture Window: For clients opting for local pickup in South Texas, your items must be picked up within 30 days of notification that they are ready. If your order is not picked up or shipping arrangements are not made within these 30 days, your items and any deposits will be strictly forfeited.

2. Equipment Safety, Maintenance, & Liability Disclaimer

  • Buyer Responsibility: Equine activities are inherently risky. The buyer assumes all responsibility for inspecting their tack—including mohair breast collars and mule tape halters—before every single use.
  • Proper Maintenance: Handmade tack requires regular safety checks, proper cleaning, and correct storage to maintain its strength and structural integrity.
  • Negligence & Wear: Rodeo Rebel Mercantile is strictly not responsible for tack failure, breakage, or subsequent accidents caused by lack of maintenance, improper storage, dry rot, normal wear and tear, or general negligence.
  • Limitation of Liability: By purchasing our equipment, you agree that Rodeo Rebel Mercantile and its owners cannot be held liable for any injuries, accidents, damages, or losses resulting from the use, misuse, or breakage of our gear.

3. Care Guide: Mohair & Mule Tape Tack

  • Mohair Care: Hand wash your mohair tack in cool water using a mild soap or horse shampoo. Gently agitate the fibers with your fingers to release dirt. Do not scrub or wring out the mohair.
  • Mohair Drying: Rinse completely and hang the tack out of direct sunlight to air dry. Never put mohair in a mechanical dryer or expose it to high heat.
  • Mule Tape Care: Muddy or dirty mule tape halters can be washed by hand with mild detergent or hosed off. For deep cleans, place the halter inside a pillowcase and wash on a gentle machine cycle with cold water.
  • Mule Tape Drying: Always hang mule tape gear to air dry completely before storing or using. Never apply high heat, as it can compromise the synthetic fibers.
  • Storage: Always store your clean, dry tack in a well-ventilated space away from rodents, extreme heat, and damp areas that cause mold or dry rot.

4. Shipping Policy

  • Processing Times: Ready-to-ship items and antiques are dispatched within 2–5 business days. Custom tack and graphic timelines vary based on our current waitlist and will be communicated to you directly upon ordering.
  • Carriers & Tracking: We ship packages through trusted national couriers to ensure secure transit. You will receive a tracking number via email as soon as your shipping label is generated.
  • Local Pickup: If you live in or are traveling through South Texas, you can select the "Local Pickup" option at checkout to bypass shipping fees.

5. Damaged & Broken Items Upon Arrival

  • Antique & Fragile Goods: We take immense pride in carefully packing our one-of-a-kind antiques and custom-painted travel cases so they endure the journey to your home.
  • 48-Hour Reporting Window: In the unfortunate event that your item arrives broken or physically damaged by the carrier, you must report the issue to us within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Required Evidence: To file a claim and receive a replacement or store credit, please email jacey@rodeorebelgraphics.com with your order number and clear photographic evidence of both the damaged product and the shipping box.
  • Exceptions: Reports made after the 48-hour delivery window will not be eligible for reimbursement or replacement, as carrier claim windows are strictly limited.

6. Returns & Exchanges

  • Custom & Digital Items: All sales are final on custom-made mohair tack, customized mule tape halters, and digital graphic design packages.
  • Ready-to-Ship & Vintage Items: Due to the unique nature of hand-picked antiques, these items are sold as-is. Please review product descriptions and photos carefully before purchasing.

7. Chargeback, Fraud, & Abuse Policy

  • Friendly Fraud Prevention: We take friendly fraud and false bank disputes very seriously. If you have an issue with an order, you must contact us at jacey@rodeorebelgraphics.com first to resolve it.
  • Zero-Tolerance Ban: Any customer who files a false, fraudulent, or unverified chargeback with their bank or credit card company will be permanently banned from purchasing from Rodeo Rebel Mercantile and Rodeo Rebel Graphics in the future.
  • Dispute Collections: We actively dispute all fraudulent chargebacks by submitting proof of delivery, signed custom contracts, and communication history to our payment processors.
  • Fraud Filters: Our website uses automated fraud filters. Orders flagged as high-risk (unmatched billing addresses, suspicious IPs) will be canceled immediately.

8. Sales Tax & Legalities

  • Taxes: Texas residents will be charged applicable state and local sales tax at checkout.
  • Intellectual Property: All graphics, custom art designs, and website content are the sole property of Rodeo Rebel Mercantile and Rodeo Rebel Graphics and may not be reproduced without written permission.
